Any boy or girl between the ages of 7 - 17 may become a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson. An application form must be completed and signed by the parent or legal guardian and the member. A membership fee of only $5 per school year and $5 per summer is required. Financial assistance for the membership fee is offered.

CLUB INFORMATION

Membership Process:
Any boy or girl between the ages of 7 - 17 may become a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson. An application form must be completed and signed by the parent or legal guardian and the member. A membership fee of $5.00 per school year and $5.00 per summer is required.

Membership Cards:
Your child must carry his or her membership card at all times while at the club. Replacement card may be purchased for $1.00 each.

Visitor Passes:
Each child may visit the club once before becoming a member. Visitors must be accompanied by a current member and may not participate in field trips or outings. Each child must become a member upon his or her second day of attendance.

"Open Door" Policy:
We do not monitor the door. Members are free to come and go as they wish. If you want your child to remain in the club, please instruct your child to do so. Staff will not assume this responsibility.

Bicycles:
Bicycle racks are available for any child who rides to the club. Provide your child with a bicycle lock and instructions to use it.

Dress Code:
Shoes and shirts must be worn in the Club at all times. Members may not wear gang-affiliated clothing or other attire promoting negative behaviors.

Lunches:
Lunch is provided during the summer session.

Telephone:
Only emergency calls will be relayed from parents to members. If you are concerned about your child’s whereabouts, give your child 50 cents and instruct him or her to call you from the front desk phone.

Discipline:
In order to ensure participant safety and maintain a positive environment, staff must discipline members who exhibit inappropriate behavior. The staff will endeavor to keep you informed of behavior problems. In return, we would appreciate your support of our actions and reinforcement of our discipline at home.

Supervision:
Supervision is not provided before opening or after closing hours.

RULES FOR CLUB MEMBERS
  1. All participants must be members.

  2. Membership cards must be presented at the front desk to enter and check out equipment.

  3. Personal items may be kept in the Lockers. The club is not responsible for lost or stolen property.

  4. Members are not permitted to sit on any counters, desks, or tables in the Club.

  5. Permission must be received before entering the office area or behind the counter.

  6. Only emergency calls will be relayed from parents to members. Members who want to call parents must bring 50 cents to use the front desk phone.

  7. Members may run in the gymnasium and outdoor play areas only.

  8. Members may eat in the snack area only.

  9. Members are not permitted to smoke, gamble, use drugs, drink alcoholic beverages, or use obscene language in the Club at any time.

  10. Members deliberately damaging Club facilities or equipment will be held responsible for payment and repair; may also result in suspension or expulsion.

  11. Members are to enter and exit the club through the main door only. Members are not permitted to loiter outside the front of the building.

  12. Members may use the vending machines and arcade games at their own risk. The staff does not have keys to these machines and cannot give refunds.

  13. Members are expected to keep all areas of the Club neat and clean. Be proud of your Club and take good care of it!

  14. Members are expected to obey the club staff at all times.

  15. Failure to follow clubhouse rules may result in suspension or expulsion.
